What do I get when I sign up?
You get a complete turnkey solution to launch text messages to a large opt-in database. This includes database management tools that allow you to easily opt-in and opt-out subscribers and our famous TXTLaunchPad where you can instantaneously blast off messages to your database.
How do I create an opt-in database?
Text messaging is permission-based marketing. You cannot just send out text messages to random phone numbers or you will be in violation of the spam laws. If you are found to be doing so, Advanced Telecom Services will immediately suspend your account. We take spam very seriously.
You must get permission to send a text message to your consumer. Your database list can be compiled in a number of ways, but most importantly, you must get the consumer’s permission to be included in your database. If you are not sure what this means, we urge you to get legal advice.
You can find complete FCC rules at http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumerfacts/canspam.html
What do I do when a subscriber wants to cancel?
It’s simple. You just go online and search for the name or phone number of the person and delete him or her from the database.
How many different databases can I create?
It’s really unlimited. You can create hundreds of different databases and include them in your password-protected account.
How do I load the database of phone numbers?
You can load each cell phone number individually when you get the opt-in permission. Alternately, you can use a .csv file to load large databases of phone numbers. Contact our customer service department if you’re not sure how to do it.
How long does it take to send a message?
Less than 30 seconds once you get proficient at it.
Does the consumer pay to receive my messages?
In most cases, no he or she does not pay to receive your messages. Most consumers purchase packages of text messages from their carrier on a monthly basis. Hence, there is no incremental cost to receiving your message. In some instances, however, a consumer may have a text-enabled phone, but does not subscribe to a text package. In this case, the consumer is often charged .02 to .10 per message received.
How do I keep track of how many messages I’ve sent?
The TXTLaunchPad enables you to see the historical data of the copy of the text messages that you have already sent.
How do I keep track of how many messages that I have left?
Depending on how many you purchase per month, the TXTLaunchPad debits your account with each text message sent. Hence, you can always see just how many messages you have left that month.
What if I need more text messages than what I’m allotted?
Just call or email our customer service department and we’ll add messages to your account and charge the account accordingly.
